GREAT BEGINNINGS OFFERS A VARIETY OF OTHER ACTIVITIES WHICH THE CHILDREN GREATLY ENJOY THESE ARE INCLUDED IN THE FEES.

STRETCH N GROW

This is a lively physical exercise programme which encourages the children to exercise and is set to music. Children learn about healthy eating, getting a good night sleep, brushing their teeth and so forth. This class runs every Tuesday afternoon throughout the school year.

MUSIC AND DANCE

This is, without doubt, one of the highlights of the school week at Great Beginnings for all the children. A pianist from the Royal College of Music accompanies the class. The children are encouraged to play percussion instruments, sing well known traditional nursery and folk songs and dance with props, such as ponies, scarves and streamers. Each year a performance is prepared for the parents to come and watch. The children join in with great enthusiasm and for many ‘past pupils’ music has continued to be a major part of their school lives.

OUTINGS

The children are taken out regularly for walks in the neighbourhood and go to play in the local park. We also have keys private gardens nearby. Visits to museums, galleries and other places of interest are also organised. At the end of each school year we have a whole school outing when all parents can join their children for a fun day out of London.
